Default aftermarket tow hooks are awesome!!!

So I know a lot of people hate on tow hooks and I was looking through some threads to find a certain color for my teg which does not yet have them and all I saw was people talkin ****. I wanted to let people know that these tow hooks are actually great for something!

A few years back I was in my 4 door ek and I got rear ended HARD by a beamer. I was pushed into the car in front of me also. I had a set of password jdm tow hooks front and rear. I got out of my car goin ape **** on the dumb broad behind me still on her phone and as I did a quick walkaround I noticed my car didn't have a scratch and my tow hook was wedged into her radiator and my front hook stopped on the other guys license plate. Without these my car might have been totaled. With them I destroyed a beamer and a camry without a scratch on my ek and minimal damage to my tow hooks. I know this is a tech forum but I figure this is a technical and practical use for these. So stop knocking them and everyone buy some tow hooks to mm protect our hondas!

Since when are # of posts relevant to experience. Everyone on this site is on it to contribute and share their individual experiences and knowledgebof different aspects of our similar interest, hondas. I was searching through threads for a certain tow hook and saw a bunch of bashing so decided to let muthaf***@s know a huge pro to having them by sharing my experience with them. Its like a truck with a trailer hitch. You rear end it and your done.

You do realize by thinking these are a good idea in the event of an accident is moronic. You are reducing the amount of surface area, increasing the psi that the other car is hitting therefore more prone to structural damage rather than just cosmetic damage

I have to agree with this.. And my car came from the factory with tow hooks so no need to invest in some shiny password hooks.. Just my opinion

Worked for me and didn't bend up my radiator support or my rear at all. I was happy to not have to get new bumpers or paint.
