Default About to buy a 97 accord

Hey, It's Gandalf,
My 92 Accord ex finally gave up the ghost, and I'm thinking about buying a 97 accord(ex,lx) couldn't tell. It has new paint, inside is generic, nothing special.
I haven't driven it yet, but should tomorrow morning.

It shows 203K on the Odometer, Automatic. Couldn't tell much more than that.
Does anyone know of any quirks for this model year, that I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance,
Gandalf

I had a 96 auto DX for the past 8 years and loved it. Only things I replaced were battery, front brake pads and rotors (the rotors are a PITA to change but are the same as your 92 model's), tune up items for mileage, normal 90K mile service, and axles etc. Nothing quarky that I know of as its basically the same engine and trans wise as your 92 minus that the EX has VTEC. I sold it with 170K and really would have kept it but I needed something a little bigger.

that generation accord is very popular with thieves that need a car for joyriding etc. i've had a family friend has hers stolen in front of my house, they broke the ignition of course and it could be start up with a screwdriver

Yeah pretty much 90-97 are a high theft car, mine was stolen 3 weeks after I got it. Get an alarm pretty much right away.
