95 Civic Lug Nut Stud Replacement
So i found one of my studs had broken off one day i looked at my wheel. So i did some research and decided to replace it. I got to the point where i had the brake caliper off and the rotor. But then when i started to hammer the broken stud out it hits the back of the hub. There is no clearance for it to be hammered out. My question is do i have to separate the hub to get it out and then place the new one in?
So angry on the design of this -_-

Re: 95 Civic Lug Nut Stud Replacement
You need a hub puller or slide hammer...im not sure if they're the same thing, but i have a slide hammer. You just bolt it to 2 or 3 of the wheel studs and slide the hammer away from the hub and it comes right off.
I'm not sure if there is a way to do it without one of these tools...but i couldn't figure it out.

A shop charges like 75-100 for the job because of labor.
And Cutting the dust shield doesnt do ****. So now i have to either borrow or buy a slide hammer
