* * *My How to: HOW TO RESET YOUR CLUSTER MILEAGE* * *
here is my how-to for those that want to keep their clusters at the same mileage as their chassis after a new cluster purchase
<FONT SIZE="4"><FONT COLOR="red">NOT INTENDED FOR ILLEGAL USE!!!</FONT></FONT>
<FONT SIZE="3">step one</FONT>
open your cluster by removing the face
<FONT SIZE="3">step two</FONT>
pull the face and needle off with care not to break them.......the needle may need a little coaxing with a screwdriver but they normally just come off with a tug
<FONT SIZE="3">step three</FONT>
remove the speedo unit by removing ther screws on the back of hte cluster unit (screw location may be different)
<FONT SIZE="3">step four</FONT>
remove the speedo face (again, screw location may be different)
<FONT SIZE="3">step five</FONT>
pry out on the syncro gear bar and reset dials and be sure to keep the smaller teweth inward (you will see what I am talking about when you are messing weith the syncro bar). Push the syncro bar back in, this may require a little tinkering to get everything to line up properly AND BE SURE NOT TO PULL THE SYNCRO BAR OUT TOO FAR OR THE SPRING WILL FLY OFF!!
<FONT SIZE="3">step six</FONT>
re-install needle but be sure tyo push it back on farther back fromt eh stop pin so that the spring will allow it to return completely
<FONT SIZE="3">final step</FONT>
re-assemble everything the opposite of reverse and you will have a spifftacular cluster like mine y0!!

Re: (LudeyKrus)
it is not illegal if you are setting it to your chassis mileage
like if you were to buy a cluster that had a tach or a higher redline and you wanted it to show the correct mileage for your chassis
