Upper control arm - Raybestos, Deeza, Beck/Arnley, Mevotech, Dorman, OR Karlyn
Has anyone had experience with these manufacturers for upper control arms for 98 accord 3.0L coupe?
Looking for feedback on Raybestos, Deeza, Beck/Arnley, Mevotech, Dorman, OR Karlyn
Which one should I choose? I need to replace the driver side upper control arm on my car. All of them are priced similar from RockAuto, so I need to decide I'm confused any help would be appreciated.

I recently replaced most of my suspension and I have Dorman upper and lower control arms. They have only been on for about a month, so I can't really speak of their longevity, but I will say that everything fit perfectly and the ball joints on the UCA's seemed ok to me.

I bought a pair of OE-replacement upper arms for my Integra a couple years back, for less than $100 for the pair with bushings and ball joints included. They were crap. Ball joints were done in less than a year. I can't say what brand they were, though.
After that fiasco I decided to just drop the $95/side to get brand new OEM Honda upper arms with new bushings and ball joints. They've been fine ever since.

I paid $89 each for mine, so they better be ok. lol! Time will tell, I suppose. When I called my local Honda they wanted a good bit more than $95 per side, so I went the Advance Auto route.

Wow man, Majestic Honda sells 96-00 Civic upper arms for $89 each. I definitely would have gone the OEM Honda route.

I'm usually happy if it cost the same as I would have paid a mechanic but I get the good parts and any new tools needed for the specific job.

also beck-arnley seems to have a good reputation in the aftermarket in general(can't speak on that stuff specifically)
Alot of people on here also swear by moog for suspension stuff

In my case the Honda oem UCA is $140/ea, compared to Dorman Aftermarket for $76 or any other aftermarket for under $90/ea. I would gladly stick to OEM if it was under $100. The aftermarket parts come with Lifetime warranty, and OEM come with no warranty I believe.

i use mostly meyle and karlyn oem replacement parts on my suspension. if you know someone that has an account with imc parts then you can get everything for half the price that is listed on importrp.com. importrp gets all their replacement parts from imc so you can find the catalog to imc on importrp.

Still looking for UCA for my 98 accord... any feedback would be appreciated. I don't wanna go the cheap route but forking $150 for each side for OEM sounds ridiculous + $100 labor for both sides.
I'm thinking either Karyln from ImportRP or Raybestos Professional Grade from RockAuto, does anyone know the OEM manufacturer for the upper control arms on the 98 accord? It has to be one of these companies.

The Raybestos ones are probably fine.
Also you could save the $100 and do it yourself, and then get it aligned. Replacing UCA's is pretty easy with basic tools.

Many Beck Arnley parts are brown box parts from the same vendor as oe. That would probably be a good place to start. Moog also makes good stuff.

I highly recommend Moog for ball joints. Mine have been on the car maybe 4-5 years now with no problems whatsoever. Their blue urethane boots really hold up better than OEM I think. Also I'm still running the OEM Honda control arms with the ball joints and bushings that came with them. No problems there either.

Thanks guys for the replies...
My plan was to get good aftermarket ball joints, with the arms of course, and go ahead and put Hardrace bushing in.
So i spend(shipping included in price)
$100 for both arms(Moog,Meyle,Beck Arnely)
$60 for Hardrace bushings.
Oem ones are $235 shipped from Del Ray Acura.
So using the Hardrace bushings instead I will have a little more beefy feel becasue I do HPDS events every once in awhile. Plus with the extra cash Im gonna get lower ball joints($44 each oem) plus I will have to add on $25 more ontop.

Ordered some Moog UCA from www.partsgeek.com. THESE THINGS ARE PRESTINE! You would never know the difference between OEM and these. Came out to 124 shipped to my door. I have not installed them but will do in the next couple days. How long they last is the real test but researching Moog it seems they are a great company.

Been a while, Hope your parts worked out well. Would be cool to know how long the Moog and Dorman control arms lasted for you fellas after all these years?
From volcom40street2's photo, the Moog arms were made in japan, so the quality might have been better back then versus now as moog manufacturers all over the world now, even in china.
Im hearing moog doesnt make them as well they used to, specifically with product codes RK

Moog is hit and miss these days on certain parts. My OE Honda front UCA's are squeaking a bit again, but they've been on the car for a decade or more.
Moog front LBJ's seem to be okay. But I've also only put ~70K or 80K miles on the car in the past 10 years.

Moogs are no longer made in Japan
I just ordered them and they look like any other cheapo UCA made in China.
