Icon2 Tein Flex help requested for 96-00 civic

I would like to install a set of tein flex coilovers on my 2000 si but I don't have an adjustment guide. I would like to set the coilovers to stock settings and work my way down to 1" 1/2, or 2" drop. Also, can anyone recommend a decent stiffness setting? This is my daily but I would like to prep it for autocross.

Eh, that's not really how coilovers work. You just set them where you think they should be, install them, and then adjust accordingly. There's no 'stock setting'.

As far as stiffness, no one can tell you that, and in fact 99% of people have no concept of how 'adjustable' coilovers work. You will only find a decent ride quality by experimenting. Read this link for a little peek at why your adjustment ***** don't work the way you think they do.

Honestly you're overthinking this. Just make sure the right and left coilovers have the same amount of threads, and don't worry about front to back, cause they'll be different for sure. One you get them on there, then you can adjust them down to the drop you prefer.

Thanks for the response. I called tein and they were able to email me the installation guide which has the settings/measurements I was asking.

you cant get to stock height with coilovers. you cant get the same amount of preload in coilovers that are built into stock springs.

if you think you CAN (theoretically), you may be right (theoretically), but I dare you to try it and see how close you get.

Hm. I think that would have been my first move.
