Default Problems with alignment kit

anyone ever use this alignment kit?? It's the Eibach 5-67145K.. I'm having problems with the adjustment nut on that upper ball joint smacking my strut towers when I hit a bump hard.. The one actually poked a hole through the sheetmetal!! Heres my setup.. 93 civic hatchback with eibach sportline springs and sensatrac struts, urethane bushings.. The car was aligned not too long ago.. I know it's obvious I need to take this junk off of my car I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem

Yep, those kinds of things will do that, especially if you're substantially lowered.

I advise you to take them off, put on stock parts, get the car aligned, rotate tires regularly, and don't worry about tire wear. You shouldn't have any problems.

I didn't really think I was substancially lowered.. It's not even quite 2 inches lower than stock.. I have no problem with tire wear.. So you're suggesting I put the stock upper ball joints on and get it aligned?? I was considering buying the skunk 2 upper control arms.. I have them on my other car and have no problem with clearance.

The best advice has already been given.

All of these adjustable ball joints, whether they slide on the arm itself or rotate on an offset lobe, are taller than stock, reducing available suspension travel.

I have dents in my shocks towers from my SPC UCAs, and they're thinner than the Skunk2 UCAs. Unless you need more negative camber than lowering alone provided, stick to the OEM UCAs.
