HelpPlease.Question
Hi,
(CIVIC EG HB 92-95)
I am new to the website, and going to start of with a question about coilovers.first i want to say also that if you get CXRACING coilovers for an EG teggy whateve, they don't go that low!
I just recently maybe a few months ago bought some CXracing coilovers and when i installed them i lowered them to the MAX and they only dropped 3" or something i have 195/75/15's and my fender is only at the top over my tire covering like a few cms of my tire tread.
i wanna be dumped
the coilovers are the type that you screw the mounts to adjust the height.
so i figured id cut of like 3" of the threaded cylinder part. but im not sure if the damper is inside this part does anybody know??? does the damper go from top to bottom???

Re: HelpPlease.Question
Of course you can get the car lower.
Just move the spring perch lower on the shock body.
However, your original post states that you want to be dumped, yet you're already dumped since you claim to be tucking tire. So, please, don't complain that they don't go low, you're already way too low for the car to be practical.
Unless the claim of running a 195/75-15 tire size is actually correct, in which case, you're an idiot for running a 26.5" diameter tire on a car intended for < 23" tires, and of course you can't get the car very low.

Other than you, no one is upset. I'm laughing over here. It isn't every day that someone actually asks if it's ok to cut a shock body...
