Default NRG coilovers

hey everybody...

i'm currently trying to plan out a budget build-up and compose a write up here on honda-tech for those 'tuners' out there on a strict budget. the guinea pig car is a 00 gsr with 72k miles on it. as part of this project, i was going to purchase NRG coilovers.

now i've heard decent feedback about some of their items. i also know of a few people wondering about nrg as well, so before i purchase them, i was wondering if anybody had FIRST HAND experience with these coilovers. if so, please provide some sort of input! thanks ahead of time everybody. and all those who give helpful feedback WILL be credited in the project's thread.

so what do you think about nrg coilovers?? ?

are these(link) the coilovers youre talking about? where every kit, regardless of application looks the same and less than half what reputable (i/e GC) coilovers cost? with no data posted for spring rates or warranty info or even the materials used?

that doesnt bode well in my eyes, and not having heard anything about them on any motorsports oriented sites, my guess is theyre a generic coilover with generic rates of questionable build quality.

i wouldnt run them on my car, not unless they were free any probably not even then. dont cheap out on suspension
