Default noise from driver's side area at low speeds... help

when driving my 01 teg, i am hearing some noise that sound like they are coming from the driver's side front wheel area. i can only hear it at low speeds. its like a clicking and grinding noise. it doesnt do it all the the time either. it doesnt make any noise when turning. it only does this when im slowing down and when starting out. once i get about about 30mph, i no longer hear it.

i have no play when i shake the wheel from top to bottome.

when i do from side to side, i only get play with the right side only and it makes a clunking noise.

what could this be? how do i fix it?

ive been told my axle was bad or its my hub bearing.

Does it click when you turn the wheel while driving at low speed?
