lowering springs on a ep3 in the winter help
hi guys and gals. hows it going on this monday for you? ive got a quick question for you. i have a 2002 civic sir hatch or ep3 and wanted to lower it on lowering springs as i am on a budget and dont want to spend the money on coilovers. my big question is will i be able to drive the car in the winter without get stuck to much i do run a very good set of snow tires so its more a clearance issue. i drive on a daily basis and live in the gta in ontario canada. but i do drive the car to go skiing some times and sometimes i even drive it to quebec. for the most part the roads i drive on are plowed but you never know what you might run into im also a ski instructor so some times i have commitments. heres the springs i was looking at
PRO-KIT Performance Springs (Set of 4 Springs) | Eibach Springs
also do you think that i would need a major alinement job that would include parts exceeding $100.
im open to other springs as long as winter drivability is not hampered by it.
so has anyone drove in the winter on lowering springs? any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

thanks for the reply! i had no idea that lowering springs ruin the cars handling? i would think that eibach springs would be pretty good.

Throwing lowering springs on stock dampers just adds fuel to that fire.

Tein Street Basis (not basic) are $600ish for the EP3. Thats not a lot of money for a nice set of coilovers that you can adjust height on.
Idk if you'll get stuck. You drive the car. Will you get stuck?

The damping adjustable versions (street advance) are about $800. My friend has been really happy with his non-damping adjustable Street Basis on his EP3, though. Their base model damping is set up very nicely, and the car rides better than stock.
