lowering springs
i want to install some lowering spring on my 98 civic does anyone know where or anyone that can install them in los angeles for a good price?

Yes, yourself for free. Go to autozone and rent a spring compressor tool (for free once you get your deposit back).
Once you see how easy it is you'll be really glad you did it yourself.

if you need help installing them, i can walk you threw it.. its very very easy with simple tools, you however must have a jack, 4x jack stands..
i wrote a s2000 install guide, but i know the civic, teg, err all honda bolt by bolt, step by step..

i have most of the tools the only thing i don't have is just don't have the 4x jack stands...but if you can give me the steps that will be thankful

yea can't do it without 4x jackstands, lifting just the back or front is asking to become a signature or have someone put you in a wood box...
when you get your stands or borrow some send me a msg and i'll walk you threw it
ohh, and yes you need a spring compressor, also a allen key set/torx wrench/bit for the top of the damper

You don't NEED 4 stands. Do front, then do the rear. Put a block or something behind the rear tire, pull e brake up and go. It's that simple.
I regularly only have the front of my car jacked up. Been doing it for 5+ years, on this car. More on others.
JUST DON'T GET UNDER THE DAMN THING WITHOUT A DAMN STAND!! This is a really quick way to get hurt.
When you get the spring compressor, be careful of what kind you get. Some of the cheapo things auto parts stores sell, have a simple "hook" that grabs the coil. These things SUCK, and are dangerous. They tend do slip, and can end up next to each other with the spring almost forming a C. No good.
You want the one that has 2 "u-bolts" per side that bolt to the compressor. They take a bit longer to use, but they wont slip, like the other one will. I have one like that, and have never had any issues with it, I've used it many times. The biggest thing I will say, is make sure you compress them evenily, 5-10 turns on the left, 5-10 turns on the right.
You want the compressors to be right across from each other.
I know I'll get **** for it, but you really don't need to fool with a compressor if you have a impact. Step on the bottom of the shock, and tap the trigger until the bolt comes off. They WONT come shoting off like a rocket, like people say. The rears bearly come unseated, but the fronts will pop out a good 6 inches. I've done it many times this way, with no issues. You can do it with hand tools, but it's much easier with a impact.

I have always worked with either the front or rear up in the air. I use jack stands and wheel chocks and have never had an issue.
OP. You can do the job yourself. It's more tedious than it is hard. No rocket science involved. I've done so many suspension changes I think I can change out a whole front end out in about an hour.

thanks guys!....i took your guys advices and i finally got them springs on myself it was pretty easy and saved myself some money i have them on just for now i'll probably get the ground control next..thanks again
