If the shop couldn't do it I don't know what strangers on a forum are supposed to tell you.

What steps did you and the shop take to remove it?

Cut off both ends of the bolt with a cut off wheel, get it hot with a torch and pound it out with a punch.

If the shop tried to heat the bolt up with a torch and it still wouldn't come out of the welded on nut on the subframe (I'm assuming this is what you're talking about) then you may have to cut that welded nut off with a grinder, then replace the nut and tack it back on in place.

You would possibly also have to use a cut off wheel on a grinder like spAdam showed or a reciprocating saw to cut the bolt again to be able to get it out and the control arm out. If the bolt is seized in the control arm bushing either replace the bushing or the whole arm at the same time.

Whenever I run into this problem I put a 19 socket and break the welded nut off. Its just tack welded. Then 9 times outta 10 the bolt slides out unless its seized to the bushing sleeve which then you gotta cut the bolt.

There is always the method where you hammer a size smaller socket on to it, then use an impact hammer @full torque and hope it takes it off before it rips the head.
