^I like it, never seen the brake lines put in that location before, it's different.
When u use a wirewheel to get the rust off, be sure to use metal polish to seal them and bring out the shine

At first, I used Meguires in a tub, but I recently changed to Bursch liquid metal polish. I can apply it with a buffer (great for when I polish wheels and the ASR bar)

To each his own. I do however think the EL front end only looks good on sedans.
btw, I still think the brakeline job isn't bad, it's really hard to do.

Only progress on my car so far:
Getting all the holes done first and mocking up the lines, then painting the bay and putting everything together.

-DC4-: Get them from anplumbing.com or summitracing.com
Any of those places. You can get those ones shown above by Earls. They cost around $30 for 3 in 3/16"

where are you guys getting the fittings that look like the factory threaded pieces. the gold colored ones that go over the hard line and thread into the master cylinder and the prop. valve. and what are the thread specs and end flare specs on it?

As far as I know, I think only Honda is the only one selling the gold plated ones. If you would like to go with non gold plated, ANplumbing.com sells them...look for the Honda 10.0x1.0 Factory fittings.
flares are 45 degree on the Honda fitting, 37 degree on AN fittings.

Re: (Fresh'86)
It's been a while since I've read through the entire post. But is there a source to get a shopping cart list, so to say, of all the correct fittings needed?
For example, are the brake line fittings going in the master cylinder NPT or BSPT? What size? etc. etc.

Re: (mrlegoman)
People think this is more confusing than it really is!!
The fittings in the Master Cylinder, Prop Valve, OEM Brake caliper hose are all OEM metric fittings.
They are all 10 x 1.00mm fittings.
NPT and BSP are pipe thread fittings, they are not used on our brake systems....
All the fittings on our brake systems are 10x1.00mm and if you wanna use the aftermarket earls (or other brand) fittings then they are all -3an fittings as this is the correct size fitting to fit over the size brake line we use which is 3/16"
So use 10x1.00mm fittings and adapt them to the -3AN aftermarket fittings.
It really is not that complicated.
You cant really use a shopping list as alot of peope do it different.
With mine, i removed all of my OEM brake hardlines (apart from the OEM caliper flex hose). From there i used 10mmx1.00 male to -3an male brake adaptors on all 4 OEM brake hose from the caliper, the 2 MC fittings and the 6 prop valve fittings. From there i used -3AN tube nuts and sleeves on all the lines on everything they connected too. I used 2 90 deg bulkheads for the rear lines, 2 straight bulkheads for the lines from the MC to the prop valve, a stright bulkhead fitting on the drivers side in the wheel arch and a 90 deg bulkhead on the passenger side wheel arch. I used bulkhead nuts on all these bulkheads.
Thats it...
My advice,
Get a piece of paper, grab a pen. Now, draw a square and write MC in it, after that draw the lines and all the fittings you need. Write how many of each item you need.
Then, log onto http://www.anplumbing.com http://www.summitracing.com or http://www.jegs.com or even goto a local auto parts store if this is an option you have. Now order the parts you need.
If you cant work out what metric fittings you need, then are you going to have the tools or ability to bend and flare the lines correctly?
It's just frustrating how every second post people ask what brake adaptors they need, or what size fittings they need... The answer is in the inital post and every second post from there on!!
To make it more clear:
1. Brake adaptors: 10mm x 1.00. Both ends are MALE
2. -3AN tube nuts, tube sleeves, bulkeads, bulkhead nuts.
3. 3/16" brake line
That is it, those 3 are ALL you need. Now do some reading and work out exactly how many of each you need. Also, work out whether to get steel, stainless or aluminium.
This setup utilises the 37 degree single flare, not a double flare. Make sure you have a single flaring tool. Also, take note that this is prob not legal to use on your brake system.
Basically read this thread from post number 1 right upto this post... You should have all the info you need.

Hey Paul,
While you are at it, what size are the in + out on a 1" M/C? The small size is 10x1.00mm from the looks of it, but I'm guessing the other is a 12x1.00m? It's a lot larger.
Thanks,

1" Master from the 90-97 integra is a 12x1.00mm facing the passenger side and 10x1.00mm facing the drivers. Keep in mind the 1"MC from the 98-01 GSR/ITR is different, it has different exit points for the fittings and it also uses 2 of the 10x1.00mm fittings (one pointing straight up, one facing the passenger side). Also the resevoir looks different

Thanks for the heads up. I believe what I got is a 1" from a 94-95 Integra based on your description of the line locations. Is a 12x1.00mm a common fitting size to do those nifty fittings right off the MS like shown above?
Is 1" overkill? I had a 13/16ths, but was hoping to get more stopping support for 4-piston front, and stock rear calipers.

It's recommended as soon as you go past 1 piston. Even ITR's and GSR's have it, and GSR's have 10.4" rotors up front and single piston calipers.
12x1.0 is actually a hard fitting to find. You can order brake lines that are preflared and have the fittings on them if you need one. I asked Tom from ANplumbing to also order a set of the 12x1.00mm banjo bolts and banjo's, so you should check the site. He placed a special order from england weeks ago, so they should be here. If anything send him an email
