I'd like to do a brake line tuck and has the idea to run flexible SS lines and not have to bend hard lines from my prop valve to all four brake corners. Insight much appreciated on this.

Any helpful links? Vids? My car is a b swapped 99 ej6 hatch. Already have SS lines from the calipers to the hard lines and rear disks.

yes, though you want to keep as much hardline as possible because the ptfe line still swells a touch. Though you would be fine im sure.

Serious racing sanctions limit you to only like 12" of braided line. Basically to the caliper from the chassis and that's it. I considered it, and realized it's not a good idea. While it's easier to run, it's not proper for the given pressure in a braking system.

Properly run brake lines also shouldn't touch the frame/body at any point. This is much harder to achieve with soft lines. I'm not sure what the point of running all soft lines would be. It would be quite a bit more expensive too, all just to save some work bending.

Was an idea but after further researching I'm most likely going to buy some line and bend it myself. Thinking of having the prop valve moved further down just behind the motor and run the front lines out of normal sight. I don't wanna put a bunch of lines through the firewall then back out it. Semi tucked I guess.

i ran 95% braided SS lines on my eg hatch i had, all but what went under "cabin" was braided SS with plastic covering. ran for almost 2yrs without issue

I have complete PTFE russell braided brake lines with the coating as well so they dont deteriorate up front from master to 40/40 and down to the calipers. I have been running these for 6 years now without a single issue. Did this when i ditched ABS. Rear solid lines are still in place and the stock rear rubbers are relpaced with russell lines as well.

Use steel brake lines where possible, and stiffer lines at any point in which they must flex (IE the wheel end). Hard lines do not compress very much, if at all, under braking. Adding anything flexible will require compliance, which will result in a poorer pedal feel.
