Personally I prefer H&R
Rides better and nobody ever complains about the gap after a H&R drop like they do with eibach

ERS (Eibach Race Springs) 8" x 2.5" on progress coilovers with a helper spring to take up the slack.

Does H+R make universal springs similar to the ERS for coilovers?

Yes H&R has Race Springs available in 2.5id at various lengths and rates and are made of a stronger and lighter material..

Not to be a naysayer, but the only thing i've seen that comes close to an ERS in quality, material and strength is a Swift. I haven't seen an H+R, but if it is a truly better product, I'd be amazed that it hasn't caught on with our grass roots racers in the states.

But it also could be because I'm an Eibach W.D. just my .o2 tho.

Good talking w/ you tonight Mike

"H&R standardized I.D. Race Springs are the leading choice of motorsports professionals world wide. H&R 2.50" I.D. Race Springs are wound from a special spring steel that has a higher tensile strength, providing clear performance to weight ratio advantages over competitive race springs. The special 54SiCr6 spring steel allows H&R 2.50" I.D. Race Springs to be on average 15% lighter and have 10% more travel for any given spring rate due to its stronger, more resilient nature. Main springs range from 6" to 16" (25.4 mm = 1 inch) in length and are available in a wide selection of spring rates."

ERS are the dominant spring in any sort of racing: Nascar, CART, off-road, etc. Hyperco is the only company that is even remotely close. And they are not close at all.

Little piece of spring history for you guys. Both Mr H. and Mr R. (H&R) started at Eibach where they learned the spring business from Wilfried Eibach. Then they left after a number of years and started H&R.

For a simple lowering kit, eibach and h&r both make a good product. I would recommend h&r over tein, rsr, etc

Wilfrieds a very nice man, I met him at SEMA. I used to be the NE rep for Eibach.

Well put.

Or as Mr. Peek would refer to it, the blue spring and the yellow spring (afco) for us circle trackers haha

I must say after being lucky enough to have dinner with two of the salesman from Eibach that they by FAR have the most training and legitmate product knowledge from any spring company I've ever dealt with.

I'm sure both are quality products, but for my car its eibachs.

yO .. I am def.. not hating on Eibach .. both are great companies and great quality springs..

They are my preference thats all .. having worked at TMS where we won w/ H&R Exclusively countless SpeedWorld Challenge Cups and Grand Am Cup titles..

I can't say that I am pleased with my Eibach springs. I purchased a new pair of Eibach ERS 7" 500 lbs-in 2.5ID and a pair of 6" 600 lbs-in 2.5ID with Ground Control coilovers about 3 years ago. After only 30,000 miles of use, a coil on one of my front 500 lbs-in springs rusted completely through and broke. This is completely unacceptable, particularly when the cheaper and supposedly lesser quality stock springs lasted 13 years and over 230,000 miles before coils rusted and broke.

This is not the first time I have heard of such an incidence. I decided to order up a new set of Hypercoils to replace them.

Despite recommending dozens of sets of Eibach ERS in the past, I am only recommending Hyperco and H&R these days.

I have seen it happen twice in the 6 years I have been here. Both instances were due to a blemish in the material, which we have no control over. A simple PM or call would have a new set on your door step the next morning.

x2! but then again, the guys in DIRT late models and modifieds change rates because every track has such wildly varying conditions, so they might not have to the tortures of driving on it everyday. I've sold 150 plus 10" x 2.5" and have yet to see one break. And these boys are 2550 lbs wet w/ driver and drive off and over each other.
