Default Engine torque damper? Pre-Load or not??????

I am having to install a 3rd gen integra engine torque damper (small shock thingy) on my 91 da integra. Should I see to it that there is pre-load. In other words, should the shock be fully extended or should it be compressed just a little bit when it is installed????????

It seriously won't matter one way or the other.....
I guess I would load it up towards the firewall, the way the engine torques, so there is less travel that direction.

sure, give it a bit of preload. itll require more force on the spring. but prboably wont matter really.
