as mentioned used the DA knuckle, with the DA knuckle you can use DC rotors, calipers and pads.

no.

i've never heard of putting DC calipers or rotors on a DA knuckle. MAYBE its possible... but why?

quite frankly i dont see the point because the DA calipers and rotors would work best with DA knuckles....

and you sure as hell cant use EG/DC knuckles on an EF. not without some serious geometry issues.

You can run integra type r calipers on stock crx si knuckles but it will run 10.3" rotors and take a little modification or require you to purchase 3mm wheel spacers

You need:

97-01 Integra type-r calipers , caliper brackets and pads (this caliper is on a few different cars also) rebuilt calipers/brackets can be had for $65 a side.
90-91 civic ex front rotors (10.3")
2X 3mm wheel spacers

You can skip the wheel spacers if you have access to a machine shop to mill 3mm (1/8") off of the caliper bracket pads. But if you dont you simply place a 3mm spacer BEHIND the rotor and it works exactly the same.

You will also have to take a dremel with a sanding roll to the inside of the caliper itself, where the rotor is spinning inside of the caliper as the caliper is mounted over it (if you can picture that) the rotor ever so slightly contacts the inside of the caliper at each end of the caliper, you need to dremel out maybe 1/8" material at the ends and the rotor will then spin freely and youll never have to worry about it again. Took me 15 minutes to do both and I was mounting and unmounting the caliper each time I took a little off to see how much was needed

I personally run this setup with a 90-91 15/16" master cylinder and love the brake force and pedal feel. It completely eliminated any brake fade I was having during spirited driving

Drop in big brake kit. Itr front calipers/brackets and 05 (?) Base mini cooper rotors, 4x100. Have the proper offset and hub size. Bolts right up to DA knuckles and possibly civic knuckles (dont know which model civic though)

07-09 cooper base rotors. 280mm

I was thinking 05-06 civic si rear rotors for upgrading the back, combined with rsx rear calipers, flipped left to right.

^^^ best bang for buck.
I run this on my rr turbo civic.

make sure you don't get a "hubcentric" spacer as it will not BEHIND the rotor.

what about...

fastbrakes adapter kit?

you use DC brackets/calipers with 11" vw corrodo rotors. that's it, other than booster/master.

Civic 11" front rotor adapter kit

sure that works...

but my other combo i rock is ef ex knuckles, mini cooper rotors, itr caliper/brackets
no machining, no wheel spacer.... it's prefect.

So I want to do a "stock parts" 11" rotor set up on my '88 CRX...
putting together a parts list to buy and have a few questions. What's this I read about a Mini cooper rotor, no grinding of caliper brackets, no spacer..

What year mini cooper rotor? Is it 11" dia?
What knuckle, '90-'91 Civic EX 4dr. ?
Which caliper an bracket?
Help is appreciated!

ef ex knuckle (yes 4dr)
28T or 25T.... either works fine
no machining required
mini cooper rotors (type s)
spend good amount of money on some xr3 pads.. they have been holding up much better for me vs. stoptech and hawk hp+ pads.

Thank you both. Just want to be sure.
Now what's the difference between the base mini and the mini type S rotors? I ask because one says base and the other specifies to get the type S.. Just want to be certain before things are ordered.

You want rotors with these specs:

Outer Diameter: 280.0mm
Height: 44.0mm
Nominal Thickness: 22.0mm
Hub Register: 64.1mm
Bolt Circle: 4x100mm

The Mini Cooper S has a front rotor of 11.5 or 294mm, where as the base has a 10.8 or 276mm rotor.. Correct?

Charlie Moua, you mention type S rotor, does yours measure 294mm in diameter? And it all went together with a ITR caliper and bracket with no mods needed?

I'm understanding that but there is a bit of contradicting info which makes it hard to put together a "to buy" list. I appreciate your help though!

There's your "to buy" list. Just add pads.

Cooper S are the wrong ones. Early cooper base are 276mm, but the later 2007-2011 are 280mm and are the ones you want.

F22master posted the list of parts needed.

Itr calipers+brackets
Itr brake pads
2007-2011 mini cooper base rotors

My understanding (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that the 25 or 28 refers to the offset in relation to the rotor. If thats the case then even if "both work fine" one would provide a more centered rotor in the caliper. If that is in fact the case anyone know from experience which is more centered?

I only ask because I'm piecing this setup together for my DA but it is a long way from finished and rotors are near the end on my list of parts to buy due to their warranty period. I have both 25T and 28T brackets already but if I can avoid powdercoating both pairs and just have one coated it would probably save me a couple bucks. Mostly though I'm just curious and can't try it out for myself just yet.

Also, you'll have to shave down your calipers to fit 14" wheels, or run spacers.

OR, it's the perfect excuse to pick up some 15" or 16" wheels so your calipers will clear. I just bought some ls webs and had them refurbished.
