creaking/screatching coming from coil over - cold weather related
I bought gc/koni yellows with extended top hats all around 2 years ago, and this year when it started to get cold it seemed, i noticed my driverside started to make a very loud creaking, screatching noise which i pinpointed and beleived to be coming from the coil over. it sounds like skeaky springs kinda sound. i visually inspected the coilovers and they seam to be fine. I had lowered the coil overs after i herd the noise to inspect the rubber boot at the top har wich seems be be ok, then the noise went away for an hours worth of driving time, then came back by the end of the night. It happens if i go over a big bump or speed bump or if i turn the wheel slowly left to right like 1/8th of a turn in either direction. Could the coil overs be cuasing this? thanks Justin

Hey Justin,
Sounds like some kind of seat on the spring issue, there should be rubber bushings on the spring perch, are those torn?
