Every time I make a hard turn, especially left turn, the right rear of my car makes a loud of squealing/whining noise. Also I am not sure if this is related but the car makes a different whining noise when I put the car in reverse. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what it is without paying to go to a mechanic.

It could be a frozen wheel cylinder/caliper, or a bad wheel bearing. It can also be a bad tire.
