Buddy Club N+ Damper // EG install Question
So here's the deal:
Just received my Buddy Club N+ coilovers. While going over them and checking for any shipment damage (was none), I noticed that the mounting points on the rear coilovers that connect to the control arms do not have a bolt-like attachment where you would screw the long bolt into.
The part i'm talking about is outlined in white in this picture. There is no where to put a bolt into so will I need to figure out a correct size hex nut or something to use on one side? Thanks in advance

Re: Buddy Club N+ Damper // EG install Question
Ok thanks. Just wanted to clarify because lots of the much lower quality dampers/shocks come with a welded nut on. I've had some much cheaper "jap crap" Skunk2 coilovers and others with a welded nut on them.
Thanks man. /thread

For a EG you will also need to remove those silver spacers on the bottom (those make them work for 96-00).
When you do remove those, if you want to sell them to me I would really appreciate it. I bought my N+'s from a eg owner and cant find them anywhere.

Thanks. I know I need to remove them for an eg application. I'm not sure what they're held in by though?

I wasn't trying to be negative I was giving you my personal experience with them. The settings really didn't make a difference on the set I received it seemed like it went from stiff to stupid stiff and that's it. These shocks aren't valved correctly is what it came down to it. Your AMR's will blow these out of the water.

Good ride quality can have different definitions according to the driver.
Of course it won't ride like a Lexus or Benz.

Re: Buddy Club N+ Damper // EG install Question
^^Yes
I never claimed to say "racing spec" parts have good ride quality on the streets. Please remind me of where I claimed that, I can't seem to find it in this thread?
I said that it rides almost well as stock. As i'm sure you know, the ride of a stock civic hatchback is nothing to brag about and cannot be compared to basically any car whatsoever with "good ride quality". I work with new Mercedes-Benz so i'm quite aware of what good ride quality is, I experience that quality on a daily basis. So when I said it "rides almost as well as stock", or "fine for coilovers", I never claimed it to be anything special.
I know your suspension knowledge etc. is far superior to mine and that does not bother me, but there's no need to bag on me for something I never said. I appreciate when people have good constructive criticism>trying to make people feel stupid. Thanks for your input though on your other threads in the FAQ, those are great.

Just chiming in from personal experience, I have these on my EK, and I love em'. For coilovers, they're extremely smooth, yet I can mainitain the stiffness I want for handling. All-in-all, best set-up I've dealt with.

Re: Buddy Club N+ Damper // EG install Question
Jimmy, I have some extended top hats but i'm going to just be using my oem tophats. I've heard you can run them without any trouble and since I never plan on being "slammed" or whatever I don't think I need the extra travel that extended TH's give.
What are you going to run? Stockers?

I'm in need of some stock ones or the buddy club top hats, I made a ad in the marketplace.. anyway
I'm a little confused.. reading and doing some research.. these coilovers are originally made for EK civics. I've read that for an EG/DC you need to keep these silver washers in there and I also read you need to remove them. So which is it? I put the buddy club LCA onto the fork and it fits in there good.. (with the silver washers) It does have a little gap even with them, but the LCA's actually came with more washers as well.. There's not enough room for them to fit though.
