Default Brake pad suggestions for 95 gsr

Hello all,

So my 95 gsr recently began to have an issue with one of the rear calipers sticking and I thought I would take this opportunity to also replace my rotors and pads. I plan on getting plain brembo rotors (not drilled or slotted). I have been reading a lot of reviews on different pads and honestly my head hurts at this point. I've read good things about axxis deluxe plus but they are now called axxis deluxe advanced and are ceramic. Not sure if they were ceramic before. From what I've read, ceramic seems to be the best when it comes to noise and dust. My main concern is low dust and low noise without sacrificing braking potential. Can anybody make any recommendations based on experience? I'm open to other brands. I've heard good things about hawk hps also.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I have tried the Akebono ProACT Ultra Premium.
No noise at all and very low dust.
The performance is excellent.

I personally love the **** out of my Hawk HPS pads. I have a 96 civic hatch, hawk quiet slot rotors on the front, brembo blank rotors on the rear, Hawk HPS all around. They aren't exactly super "low dust," but they aren't that bad, and i find them pretty quiet. I don't have ABS, and sometimes it scares me how fast I stop with these damn things (california is full of such shitty drivers), to the point where I could swear I'm going to hit the guy in front of me, fully expecting an impact, and I'm surprised I didn't. Other users experience may vary, but that is my $.02

I always go back to Hawk too. I had the Axxis wasnt crazy about them and they were very dusty in my experience, I don't believe mine were ceramic though,

Hawk HPS are really good pads, if you want even more aggressive then get HP+. They do make more noise and have more dust but the stopping power is incredible.

How much more effective would you say the HP+ is compared to the HPS? is it just initial bite or complete game changer overall? I've been tempted to try the HP+ the next time I need to change my pads

HP+ are overall much more effective. If you have been running pretty standard brake pads they are absolute night and day, initial bite and stopping at all speeds.
