Default brake line tuck question

getting ready to tuck my eg. my question refers to using soft lines as opposed to hard lines. i am aware that using too much soft line will cause a "mushy" effect for lack of remembering a better term. But theoretically will i be safe to come straight from the brake master cylinder using a soft line until i reach my desired firewall connection. everything else from that point on will be hard line. thanks in advance for any feedback.
