blackworks sub frame brace
ive never seen anyone with a BWR subframe brace on their car, does anyone think this is legit and if it is, is it a good deal?

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
If it scares you buying a fake, why are you looking at BWR parts?
Have you done any research on what exactly your buying with BWR?

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
i emailed BWR directly with reference to some parts i saw on ebay, and they said they will sell me parts from them at ebay matched prices..so i guess that'll work, and its a DD so i dont need like asr or function stuff..its just for some more bling and adjustable sway bar

Just recently there was a thread about someones coilover breaking. The part that holds the tie rod to the shock body snapped off. Does this sound like quality to you?

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
are you going to make a thread asking if "insert brand/part/style here" is legit?

first off - i'm 21. a high school graduate and i am attending college currently. i work full time at Nationwide Realty and buy all my own parts and finance my '09 Civic every month. so how you came to the conclusion you did, i don't know.
second point - how does a post count make me a n00b? i could have vast knowledge that you could only wish you had. a little number underneath my avatar tells you as much information about what i know as a turd in a toilet.
third point - there are SOOOOO many threads (on Honda-tech, especially) all over the internet about "insert quality/legitness of said part" and you can find ALLLLL the info you want there.. there's no need to make multiple threads asking about every part you are interested in.
and my final point - having an Evo doesn't make you a badass

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
You're essentially asking if a knockoff product is being knocked off? If you're that worried then my advice is just to get the stuff from the same place the 200 other cars (how you actually know it's that many people using them is beyond me) are getting them from.

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
There is R&D in these parts what so ever. You will see. The hardware they send will be the same. Compare this to a ASR brace, and you will see clear difference. These are 3 peice bars, where ASR is a 1 peice deisgin, but they also include "backing plates" that slip inside the subframe for added strength. BWR does the same, however, if my memory severs me right they bolt to a peice, which then bolts to the actual "subframe brace'', if you want to call it that.
It is a very simple, and well known fact this brace is a low quality knock off.
Oh, and Function&form aren't that great either.
Also, no one cares you drive a evo8, really, they aren't that special.

You're still asking for verification that a part may or may not be a knockoff of a knockoff. And really I don't care how many people you know that are rocking these. They are low quality Ebay grade stuff and most if not all of you are using it for looks. Some may be going with these for performance but with no R&D behind them I would trust them as far as I could throw them.
If the etailer doesn't have a guide like this for fake product then you're pretty much on your own.

Re: blackworks sub frame brace
Why are you waving the Evo around for? In an attempt to validate yourself or make others feel inferior? I have a respect for all cars so I don't understand your motivation to constantly do this as if Honda was somehow lesser.

I actually almost bought my friend's 2 years ago. I have driven it many times, and ridden in it countless times. Had the loan ready and everything.
They aren't these amazing machines, that make your jaw drop. I'll admit, they are fun to drive, and quick.
On top of the fact, the insurance would have been down right crazy.
