Default Best way to lower my 2000 civic Em1

I want to lower my car maybe 2" are so not slam it. I am debating on what to buy, am I able to just put skunk2 springs on it and thay work and not make it a terrible ride? Or should I just get coilovers although I dont wanna drop but 2"

I would recomend koni yellow shocks/ground control springs. They are a good half way, you dont want to just throw lowing springs on stock shocks, it'll blow em out quicker! so a combo of shocks/springs is best. This combo will give you a lowered look without sacrificing ride quality or performance.

Junk2? no, no not at all.....
the combo I gave you koni and GC is the most tested combo on here and the most popular. I say let others test for you, and get what has worked for everyone! Junk2 is not about quality products!

i'd recommend savings for some function and form, or something of that nature or the best combo out there will be ground control / koni yellows. both have lifetime warranty and will last the lifetime of the vehicle no matter what vehicle height you set them too.

i personally run a 450Rear and 400 Front spring rate, the stiffer rear springs help the car turn better in corners and also helps in drag racing. keep in mind the stiffer the rear spring rates the rougher your ride will be. personally, i think my car rides perfect.

Good luck!

Anyone ever heard of Truhart springs and shocks? They come in a set and run around $300, also if I put these or any other springs and shocks on my car do I need to get a camber kit

Save another $300 and get the Progress CS2.

Perfect entry level DD suspension. Search Libertariat he won a local autocross title on them in his ek. Choose your spring rate when you buy and then dial your ride height when you install = done.

The Koni GC combo will get said over and over and over and over in here, and why?
It works. Koni's will let you change dampening, but unless you want to do the research (outside of HT) it will likely do you less good than you might think.

When you save up and get the thing you really want instead of buying the cheap alternative you will never be unhappy in the end. The easy way to see this is look at how much anything you are interested in sells for used vs new.
Good parts are still worth money later, junk is exactly that later.

Good luck and have fun.
