Ground Controls for $300-$330. Period. I would NEVER use or recommend any other sleeve-type coilover system, ever. And really, I would ONLY pair them with Koni Sport shocks where there is a special sleeve made to fit on that shock specifically without the need for any adapters, o-rings or anything of that sort.

Otherwise, save up and get a quality adjustable full coilover, perhaps something from Progress, PIC, AMR, etc.

Ground Controls are the best. Period. Plus you can get whatever spring rate you want and they are quality Eibach springs. I've had my set for over 5 years with no problems whatsoever. Don't skimp out when it comes to suspension components, or you will only end up wasting money later on when you do decide to get the good stuff. Trust me.

Hey man, i have some KYB AGX with whatever springs (non sleeve) on my EG. My ride is very good...you wouldnt think of pairing AGX's with GC coil overs?

What would be a good lowering spring, not sleeve type...lookin for only maybe 1 finger clearance on some 55's.

I have Ground Control's with AGX's right now and I do not like them. I have had them on there for about 5 years, so yeah, they are shot. But I never really liked them from the beginning. I'm waiting on my Koni's to come in, but I have rode in cars with the Koni/GC and it is so much nicer. Pay just a little bit more now and get the good stuff.

When people say how the GC/koni rides "good", what ride type are you talking about?

Softer/floating like new cars do.
Stiff, you could feel the bumps, BUT doesnt bounce.

It'll be stiff, for sure, but it shouldn't bounce around.

My Koni shocks are 8 years old with over 180K miles on them and they're still working fine. One of the best shocks for the money IMHO.

Assuming you're stock heigh, what would give you the "floating" ride? anything?

The Koni's ride firm, but IMO they are more forgiving on bumps than the AGX's are. My car is lowered about 3" right now, but I have tried lots of different ride heights, including what KYB recommends (which is no lower than 1.5") and the results are about the same. Every bump in the road is harsh and if you hit a decent sized one, the car feels like it's going to come apart. I never experienced that in my friends cars that are Koni equipped. I've read a lot about different shocks and many others have said that the AGX's feel more stiff compared to the Koni's. And no, they don't float AT ALL.

Lower spring rates and a near stock ride height. You can run OEM springs on Koni Yellows, that is about as close to 'floating' as you're going to get.
