ASR brace/21mm sway bar install questions
Ok guys,
I just recieved my ASR rear brace. I have a 00 civic hatch. I am going to install my brace tomorrow after work and would like to install my old Skunk 2 sway bar.
I have any issue. The d-brackets for the rear sway bar do not line up with the ASR brace. I purchased this from a friend, he never used it and purchanged it used. I know whos car this was on previously but I do not know what size the bar is or what size bushings are currently on the rear sway bar.
I have found several posts here and esle where that the Skunk2 rear sway bar is 21mm. Since the d-brackets will not line up with the holes on the ASR brace and seems very tight on the rear sway bar (the coating is worn down and will need to be painted or coated) I think the they are too small.
If any of you have an experience with having to find brackets to fit this sway bar as well as bushings please post up.
Also, if anyone has experience with running this setup that would be helpfull too. (ASR/21mm rear sway).
I can find 21mm front bushings all day long, but I have had no luck finding them for the rear...
let me know.
Thanks,
Let me know if I left anything out.
Nick.

D-bushings should be able to slide along the bar to wherever you need it, as long as you don't hit the part where it starts to curve.
If you're talking about the spacing between the holes on each bracket, I know the ES sway bar bushings have slotted holes to allow a range of fitment.

Re: ASR brace/21mm sway bar install questions
Well I am going to pick up the ES sway bar bushings.
I have determined the size that I need and I have also determined that the previous owner/user ran bushings and d brackets that were too small. The bushing itself has had enough friction on it to jack up the sway bars coating. Pretty crazy stuff.
I am going to order them tonight so that hopefully I can put the sway bar on later next week.
thanks for the update/help.
Also FYI to anyone who finds an old Skunk2 Sway bar for the EK's THEY ARE ALL 21MM SO MAKE SURE TO PURCHASE THE RIGHT BUSHINGS.
Also on a side note, the d brackets used on the sway bar prior to me purchasing it look like the factory 19mm d-brackets and bushings. Way too small.

Re: ASR brace/21mm sway bar install questions
I beleive the GSR integras had 19mm rear sway bars. Not really sure, but it is visibably too small.
Got the front sway bar hooked up today and I can tell a huge difference. I still need to swap the front subframe to make the sure that everything on the front end is kosher.
Last night I had everything ready to swap the subframe and then could not get to the rear mount. I didn't want to unbolt it from the block and have to fight with the T-bracket lining back up since I was working on it by myself and with only one more day to get it all back together.
I am going to wait until Spring Break since I will be off work and unless plans change and we go out of town I will swap the subframe when I can take my time, not stress, and do everything properly. Plus it gives me more time to get everything baller (painted) on the suspension.
Turns out, that when I was younger and wrecked my car the body shop went to the salvage yard and grabbed an EX driverside front LCA. I don't know if they used the right fork to go with that LCA so I changed that last night.
I must have worked on the suspension a 100 times and never notices that I had the whole from a sway bar. So long story short, after everything was unbolted and ready to drop the subframe, I ended up changing the passenger side fork, drivers fork, and the passenger front LCA and hooked up the sway bar.
Got everything put back together this afternoon and drove it tonight to test out the sway bar. I can hear the tires sliding a bit and it was not loosing grip! I am pumped
Just need to get the rear sway bar bushings and D-brackets and I will be good to go until I can get an alignment and some cleaning under the car done.
Thanks for all the help with my many posts. I really appreciate it!

I don't know I know that some of the honda/acura brand came with a 19mm rear. Either way, they are too small and need to be replaced.
thanks for your help guys!
