99 EM1 rear sway bar help!
Hey guys just picked myself up an EM1 a couple days ago, when it bought it I noticed the rear sway bar needed some attention but I wasn't too concerned about it, hoping this is an easy fix. The car is lowered with stock struts (I know its not good, but I will be upgrading in the near future to koni's) So my question is what is up with this rear sway bar? Its cold are rainy out right now so I am planning on fixing it this weekend when its nice. Here are some pics of whats going on.
1. Driver side sitting level

2.Driver side jacked up
3.Passenger side sitting level
4.Passenger side jacked up
The kid before had put some aftermarket LCA's on it (they seem to be a no name brand) Are the end links gone, or did the kid just not reinstall the sway bar correctly? Or does it have something to do with the car being lowered? The rims are 15" and the tires are 195/60r/15's and the tire is just slightly tucked by about a 1/4" or less. Thanks for any help!!!
Cheers
Also heres a picture to get an idea of the ride height

Also looking for a rear spoiler or trunk and spoiler combo if you live in Ontario

Re: 99 EM1 rear sway bar help!
The driver side looks like it is incorrect? I have no experience with sway bars, from what I see online is the sway bar link sits directly up from the LCA making it 90 degrees.... the passenger one is pretty close but the driver looks like its way off?

They're a "ball joint" so they are intended to pivot like that.
The driver's side looks no different than the passenger side with the exception of the sway bar being slightly shifted over. Unbolt the bar from the chassis (not from the LCA's) and shift the bar to the driver's side so that it's centered. Reinstall.
