considering it's made by DC, i'm pretty certain it will still be crap.

if i were going to drop only $800-900 on a header it'd be Comptech before it'd be DC Sports.

but my first choice is still Amuse or Mugen

Show me it makes 5-10% more power on a dyno without tuning and I will waste 800$

you are insane if you think a header is going to give you that kind of gain on this car. with or without tuning. 5% is 12hp. and 10% is 24hp. you're out of your mind my friend.

DC header costing over $400 for any application is mindblowing. Not horrible but jesus who do they think they are pricing in the real perforamnce range. Either way, i still maintain that making an S2000 fast aint really happening NA.

most exhaust parts made for the s2000 dont make any more power than stock.. And if your going to be spending around $800 on a header, you might as well dish out another $200 and get the TODA header. - cuase that one actually makes power.

I would Not consider DC headers Crap, Though its not the most expensive Header Made does not mean Its Shy of Quality, and Im Sure the power will be within Reason of others!

i won't argue with you on the quality aspect because they actually make a pretty nice header for the b16a and b18c, still mid-grade, but not shoddy workmanship at all. but the power, that's where you're wrong. DC's header makes absolutely no power on the s2000. i mean none. not minimal gains like with Toda or Mugen, i mean nothing. and depending on how you've got it tuned (or if you even tune it) it will mostly lose power. just like HKS hi-power exhaust.

i suppose i should've elaborated, if i were to spend money on something and it gave me absolutely no gains and was not worth the effort of install, i would categorize it as "crap"

nothing will make power without being able to tune for ignition timing and fuel.

Guys? does the "you get what you pay for!" advice apply to this thread?

I'm so glad im a member of this forum to learn from the experiences of others! I would totally hate it if i spent money and despite all the tuning i would have no gains or even less than what i have!

I can't say the DC are crap or whatever people are saying, I wont know until someone gets one and tunes it with an EMS to see if power can made.
