help ""P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)""
ok I know this is not legal in the states, but in my country its ok till now.
I have removed the catalyst of my 1998 CRV, and now I get this code ""P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)""
I have 2 points I would like to address
1- how can I reduce the fuel consumption, my CRV spends most of its time in the traffic jam, and due to hot weather the A/C is on, so it consumes lots of fuel, to give u an idea it consumes 20L for every 135-140Kms, I don't think this is normal? what do u think?
2- is there a way by using a resistor or a diod to fool the OBDII into thinking that the catalyst is still on the car and not generate the Check engine it does every now and then ?? ""P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)""
thank you
Nabil
