beefing up the ole automatic...
really havn't found any info on this subject. i plan on getting a level 10 torque convertor, but else would there to upgrade in the actual transmission, or is there anything else i would need to worry about? i dont know anyone who has any trusted experience with them. of course i mean anything else other than a general overhaul...changing of the gaskets/seals/what not. and yeah i know...im keeping the automatic...no 5sp conversion for me!

Re: beefing up the ole automatic... (madd)
I decided to keep my auto; hour+ drives to work in heavy traffic did not make me want a 5spd. I bought the Level 10 rebuild kit and had the tranny over hauled. I'm very impressed with the way the tranny shifts now compared to stock. I went ahead and installed a tranny cooler while I was doing the work; high temps are not kind to an auto.
Get the TC; I couldn't afford the down time when I was having the rebuild done, but I wish I had got the TC.

The break down was:
Rebuild - $1200 (with supplied kit)
Level 10 rebuild kit - $400
Tranny cooler - $150 (approx)
Some more cash for full synthetic transmission fluid, and I was rolling out the door.
