Hey guys.... I was driving my R over the weekend on the highway and noticed at about 80-90mph my steering wheel is shaking and vibrating unusually. Any ideas of what this could be? I am very low on cash and I dont want to take it to the shop if it is something simple. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help !!!!

Try checking your tire pressures and see if there is anthing stuck inthe tread of your tires (screw, rocks).
Have you hit any pot holes, or anything else hard with the front wheels? I have heard that the ITR front end can come out of alignment real easy. Also check your tire wear and dents in your rims. Hope this helps. good luck! |

Your wheels may need to be balanced again.
Check to see if the weights fell off or something. --reid

Your tire probably needs to be balanced.

That happens to me but vary little vibration and it is around the 135 to 150 range.

It happens to me too when I rotate the back set of tires to the front.. i think I just have a bum tire because I got the wheels rebalanced and they said it was dead on.

Other than rebalancing (which is/was) my guess as well -- try taking the wheel off and then carefully (evenly) re-tightening the lug nuts. This helped me last time, since those jack-offs at NTB don't know how to use anything but air tools! HTH /ed

If you're car is lowered and the camber isn't adjusted properly, your front tires are more than likely warped towards the inside. If not, my bet is on the need for balancing
