Civic sits lower after being left for a few days. Bad struts?
Hey guys, another suspension question. I swapped in a full set of struts from my 99 ej6 into my 00 ej8. I noticed that if I let the car sit for a day, it will sag about an inch or two. If I take it for a drive it sits back up at regular height. I notice some plasticy noise when I bounce the front right. Is something wrong here? Can't say I've ever noticed it on any of my other cars. All input is appreciated

You have to loosen all the bolts in the suspension that go through the center of a bushing. Then with the car on the ground, tighten & torque them. You can also do one corner at a time by jacking the suspension up till the chassis lifts off the jackstands.
The idea is that it relieves any twist in the bushings with the car at rest on it's wheels.
Each arm on one side of the car....
- 2 bolts, 1 nut - front lower arm
- 2 nuts or bolts - front upper arm
- 2 bolts rear compensator arm (the one at the chassis will mess up your alignment)
- 3 bolts rear lower arm
- 1 bolt rear upper arm
Doing this will alter your alignment even if you don't do the rear comp-arms. Also altering your ride messes up your alignment too, so you probably needed one to begin with.

Make sure the tire pressure it good also.
Manual
The vehicle should be on the ground before any bolts or nuts connected to the rubber mount or bushing are tighten.
