Relocating Map Sensor
I have a fellow honda friend who relocated his map sensor on his car and he said he could feel a major difference, is this harmful at all to the engine or electrical system or sensor? I am considering doing the same thing, but wanted to check with the experts first on this forum, thankyou all information will be appreciated

Re: Relocating Map Sensor (SloCivicHMM)
a map sensor is a map sensor regardless of where its monted (tb or firewall) it still reads manifold vacuum and sends a signal to the ecu. you friend may have corrected an existing problem when he relocated his sensor not to mention he must have an extreamly sensetive *** dyno to notice any diff. unless the car was running like **** before

Re: Relocating Map Sensor (nub)
so no difference is made? he said that it reads cooler air, he put it on his intake. I'll have to have him give me a ride, he said he could feel a difference driving, but that may be because he wants to feel a difference

you could run a vacuum line to the trunk, extend the wires to the trunk and mount the map sensor in the trunk and it wouldn't make a difference.
