Default How to siphon gas out of my car

just like the topic states how do you siphon gas out of my tank. ok i bougth one of those gas siphon tubes from wal-mart. and the directions said to sick one end into the gas tank and the other to the container that is going to hold the gas. my problem is that the i can't get the tube to go down far enough to get the gas. is there a screen or something in the way? it feels like it's hitting something half way.

thanks

a lot of newer cars you really can't siphon out gas because of the emissions controls at the top of the tank BUT.....

jack the car up at all four corners and there is a bolt at the bottom of the tank to drain the tank, it will get 99% of the gas out

on the bottom of the gas tank theirs a 17 mm bolt to drain out the gas. pretty much like draining out the oil.

if you disconnect the gas inlet line to the fuel rail (remember to put another hose around it and put the other end of that hose in your portable storage gas container)
then simply turn your key ACC and wait a few minutes. When gas stops coming out, your tank is clear.
