Car overheats at Idle, but not while driving, why?

Car overheats at Idle, but not while driving, why?
Just as the title states, when i'm driving around it runs cool, but when i'm at idle for more than like 30 seconds, the temperature goes all the way up to H. Then when I start driving it goes back to normal, what would be wrong. Also, every once and awile my check engine light comes on, when I turn my car off and turn it back on, it goes away, could this have anything to do with it?

Well, you should definitely check what the code is to narrow it down. When you're driving, air is passing through the radiator, cooling the engine. When you're stopped, there's no air flow. Could be your fan isn't kicking on, could be the fan or the temp sensor.

Either temp sensor or your fan and or radiator condensor is fucked.
Get it fixed soon or expect to overheat it. You cool off when you are moving b/c the flowing air helps the condensor cool better.

Are you talking about the coolant temp sensor? Also, if I do need to replace my radiator, are there any affordable upgrades I could make to my cooling system while i'm at it, i don't want to spend like 500 for a fancy radiator though.

Your temp sensor will start and stop the fan for you.
If it's the fan itself, you can get a Hayden SlimFan from discount/autozone for $80. 10, 12, or 14" . Mine stock ex was a 12"
As for the radiator, you can look at fluidyne and there are a couple of others around $300. C&R Racing has an awesome radiator for $480.

Did you check your hoses, if the upper is hot and the bottom is cold then the problem is probably your termostat, which goes out around 100K. When the car is running above 3Krpm the water pushs the termostat, when it is below then the termostat is suppose to open up at 275F or a range from 265F to 295F depending on your termostat, if it does not open up the engine will overheat.
