This a good price for an ITR Lip?
A local shop of mine can get me an ITR Lip in ABS plastic (98-01 tegs) for about 60 out the door. Is this something i should be jumping into? Or is it just about the going price for this stuff? Oh, and btw, i did do a search, but the only things that came up were
1) How easily they break
and
2) How much of a bitch they're to paint
lol...and yes i still plan on getting one
Thanks
Jess

What company makes it?
OEM is ABS plastic as well and my OEM lip has held up great even with hitting it hard a couple times

I'd say go with the wings west group buy going on here. The OEM ITR lips are made of urethane which is very flexible and won't crack. It's NOT made of ABS Plastic. I'd go with urethane, sure it's a little more price wise, but you won't be sorry in the end, because everyone bottoms out at least a couple times. Save yourself the hassle of having to buy another one and just get the wings west or if you're lucky get the OEM lip. Just my opinion. And the wings west fits perfectly and took about 5 min. to install.

all the type-r lips are the same, and if your careful when you drive then there shouldn't be any problems with the lip cracking

i like how u think mann...if you could save up and get the oem one i would do that...wings west just came out with a ITR lip and it is damn near exactly in quality as the OEM lip...good luck man...peace

I bet I can say how people feel when they were looking for an ITR lip. Tiring and impatient. Well thats how I was. It took me a while to find my OEM lip. It was starring at me the whole time on my friend's teg. Anyways if you can find an OEM lip go for it. OEM is always better. Just find one that has a decent price. $120 maybe I bought mines for $150. Others can tell you they bought it for $100 or less. ITR Lips are rare now least that I can tell. Goodluck hunting

Untrue! There are poor quality lips out there that have horrible fitment. There are urethane lips that react way better to impact than ABS lips and fiberglass lips!! As they say, you get what you pay for. If I were you, I would wait for an opportunity to get an OEM type R lip or get in on the Comptech/Wings West group buy. Just my $0.02
