Was thinking of this in school. Cant figure out why it would harm it.

Would the **** not just get vapourized and disintegrate when the power stroke shoots that much heat at it?

How much would it take to ruin a small engine?
What exactly does it do?

Why: Sand turns into glass when heated to extreme temperatures... Sugar caramelizes when heated. Both sand an sugar will inhibit the injector's operation.

lol no man, my friends Integra LS ran like *** and then seized today.

Hes getting it towed as we speak. He got into a fight a few days ago so Im guessing someone did that to his car.

Would a sugar packet cause the engine to run poor/seize? Or would it take something larger like 1/2 cup

I would think it would take more than a packet. You should send an email to that discovery channel show, Mythbusters with those two idiots. Ask them how much sugar it takes to ruin a motor. I bet they would do it.

I would LOVE to know how much sugar it actually takes to stop the engine!

actually... I think it would gum up the injectors and fuel filter before it seizes the engine....

Would the motor have a lot less power after it happened?

Like even down the road would it cause the engine to still run disgustingly bad

does sugar dissolve in gas?
anything like that making it into the combustion chamber is bad, raises compression, gouges cylinders, etc

Really eh, so even sand would be very bad to.

I wonder if it happens a lot and people just dont notice. I know its fairly common amongst the stunnas in my school to hit eachothers civic. But I park at my buddies house across the street so they can duke it out.

how can they get open the gas door anyways? honda's have that internal pull switch -- of course by force, but ppl would notice that. i worry about those american cars that have the easy access doors

Dunno about sugar, but wouldnt sand settle in the gas tank, or be caught through the fuel filter. If it was dumped in the oil, it would hopefully be caught in the oil filter, but not after raping your main bearings.

sugar just clogs the injectors, the amount depends on the amount of gas in the tank. the best thing is to just put some kink of liquid that will go through the injectors. i would recomend paint thinner, or something like that

Most quality fuel filters won't pass sand, which is mostly large particles. Depending on element design/quality, particulate smaller than a 680 grit will pass a fuel filter, and do friction damage to your engine. Lapidary grit from a gem or rock house is your best sabotage bet.

Sugar is not very soluable in gasoline, but I've spoken with people who got a dose of it in their fuel system when they ran their tank low. I forget if/what damage was done to the engine, but the sugar was all clogged in the injectors, a big sticky mess.
