Oxygen sensor on 1997 prelude
I needed a new front O2 sensor, and was charged 200$ just for the part, and now they tell me i need a new rear one too, for the same price. Now I notice that at autozone they sell a O2 sensor for my car for only 80$. Can a normal person change the O2 sensor themselves? or should bend over and take it at the shop?

They're easy to change. Just get a universal 4-wire for $60 from http://www.oxygensensors.com & wire it up yourself.

WTF. your car is covered under an emissions ewxstension warranty. all 96-97 hondas have a 14 year or 150,000 mile warranty on all emission related issues.
your O2 is covered. parts and labor will be free.
this is if your milage is below 150,000 miles

Re: (v0gueSilver_Dc2)
he is absolutely right, i drive a 97 ss lude and the trans decided to throw itself down the toilet, so the emissions warranty made it be FREE OF CHARGE FOR REPLACEMENT, and it is all good. A trans with 3 year warranty, can't beat that.
That warranty exists, i am only at 59k miles, so i am good for another 100k
