the ecu is California emissions, but it sound like a 5spd ecu. I have never seen a denotation of 3 unless it was 010 or 020 or 030 variants which were all 5spd but with special programming.

PW0 is the EDM 89-91 B16A EE8/9
At least i never saw a JDM EF8/9 with a PW0

question, on 6th gen civics, 96-00, wounldn't the 99-00 ECUs have a different name than the 96-98's due to them being OBD2b? or did they just make the version number different?

Re: (_RedRiceR_)
Remove the SMD resistors from RP17 and RP18, then jumper RP18 with a wire or 0 Ohm SMD resistor. That will convert it to manual.
The fuel and timing will be way off for the Y8 though.

Re: (_RedRiceR_)
^^^^ You need to go to http://www.pgmfi.org and read up some on the ecu chipping and theory.
Lemme ask this... I have an ecu from a JDM EG Vi model, but the sticker is scratched off at the important part... Is there anywhere else I could look on the ecu to see exactly which model it is ?
