The guy who owned my accord before me, the original owner, was telling me everything that has gone wrong with it while I was buying it...needless to say, the list was short...but one thing he did mention was Honda replaced the entire ECU...so I have a brand new ECU in it.

Wow...what kind of oil do you use? The original owner used Valvoline dino oil in my accord and changed it every 3k....needless to say, I'm using the exact same oil...if it ain't broke, dont' fix it.

C'mon guys, post up some numbers!!!!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I use only Mobil 1 synthetic, 10w-30 usually, and a Purolator PureOne filter, changed every 5000. That's what I've been using since 260k (minus the filter.... used Honda ones at first, then switched about a year ago) and have never once had a problem. The first 260k miles were with dino oil, really don't know which brand (my mom had the car at that time). She put on 3000 miles per month, so the oil was changed every month, and the original owner she bought it from took meticulous care of it.... all dealer services done on time, oil changes every 3k, hell even down to the first oil change at 1000 miles (right after break-in, like you're suposed to do). I still have every reciept and record from the original owner for everything he ever did in the 140k he had it, LOL. Didn't burn or leak a drop when I switched to syn, and it still doesn't today

I have a '98 accord with just under 50,000. I'll be hitting the 50K mark on this tank of gas. Runs strong as ever and extremely smooth shifting through all gears.

Bought my car this past mid-December. Bought it with 207k miles. About a month after the crank pulley decided to take a dump and break crooked. $300 later it's back on the road. I've had it put it in the shop for other things, but those were things that were already broken when I bought the car (bad seals in the steering pump, new relay in A/C system, possible bad thermostat (replaced to be safe ), new main relay (was told they are known to go out, someone lemme know if dats true) ). Currently running about 212,500 miles without any problems.

No car is totally problem free 100% of the time.

I just passed 427, 000 klicks on my 89 exi

It lasted 424, 000 on the original clutch.
