how many miles does your accord have on it?
My 94 5spd LX Accord just rolled 103,000 miles. Since i bought my first car, i like to upgrade my car often as i get a little more cash. I was wondering how much reasonbly longer i can hold on to this car, since there is nothing major wrong with it. My reasoning is that the more maintenace work i do on it, the harder it is to sell it and for example get a upgraded model accord. I have changed the CV joints, which usually go about 100k miles. I now have lifetime Alignment on my car and lifetime balance on my tires. The clutch still feels fine. If i have to change the timing belt, might as well i keep the car. Am I in a detrimental treat already to change the timing belt since it just gone over 100k miles?
How many miles are you guys getting out of your accord and it still be totally problem free?
I am OK with doing maintenance work on it, but just want it to still be reliable.

I now have 290k miles using dino oil changed every 3.5k miles, and towing trailers since 150k miles. This tread is inspirational to know how long I can expect to keep my Accord.

I'm at 337,326.4 miles on my LX-i as of right now, and counting fast (just turned 336k friday before last [12th], and turned 337k this last friday [19th]). All original motor, tranny, etc (original clutch finally broke @ 321k, but disc was still within service limit).... still runs and drives like brand new, idles perfectly smooth and quiet even with a/c on, and never once broken down on me or failed to start right up. Doesn't burn or leak a drop of oil. A/C even blows 34 degrees! I still trust my car enough to get in right now and drive it anywhere without a worry.
With only 103k dude, you got nothing to worry about. It's still a baby! My moms '94 Accord EX (5spd) is at 185k something and still running perfect. It's a Honda, not a domestic.... you don't have to worry about it falling apart at 100k miles, LOL. Just do the regular maintence (regular oil changes, timing belt/water pump, belts, etc) and your car will last you virtually forever, or until somebody crashes into it

Gotta love Hondas!

I've heard of Volvo 240/242/244/245/260s going well over half a million miles. All they do is change the oil religiously and keep up on preventative maintenance.
I've got 160k on my 10th Anniversary Edition. Still runs great.

yeah my neighbor across the street had a little over 250k on her old volvo, i think it was an 85 model. she still drove it every day until some kid hit her and totalled it. now she bought a 98 model volvo.
my accord has 129,664 miles on it right now. i should be turning over 130,000 in the next few days. my old 94 had 152k miles on it before i totalled it (may she RIP).
my uncles 85 accord has a like 250k something on it too.

Re: how many miles does your accord have on it? (Must be VTEC)
I have a 4th generation I use as a daily driver with almost 275K miles on it. I can't break the damn thing (I try everyday!). Honda build quality peaked with the 4th generation Accord.
All of the Honda techs I know say the same thing, the best built Accord is the '93 SE. I agree...

Not an Accord owner, but a Vigor owner. 132,600 miles and not one problem. Going in for a compression test tomorrow for grins. Doing a little bodywork as well.
Drum tight, no rattles, interior is mint. On it's second clutch.
I also have a 1999 Accord with 46K and absolutely no problems and a 1992 Civic Hatch with 176K that needs a motor.
