Default clutch pedal is stuck on the floor?

ok,
tonight i got in my car drove around for 5 mins and i parked, and when i was about to leave i noticed the clutch pedal was on the floor. Wouldnt pop back up, only if i pulled it with my hand and it would stay up but with a single touch it would fall back down, couldnt get the car into gear either. Latley when droven it felt the clutch pedal was soft, and went down lower and stayed lower than usual.A few days ago my clutch fluid was full, and tonight when it was on the floor it was empty. So i filled it all the way up with dot 3 and it would still stick to the floor and not come back up. what should i do?

sounds like you need a new clutch.

you need to bleed the air out of the clutch slave . there must be air bubbles in the line. same thing happen to me when i did my swap. also check for leaks while your there too.

if that doesnt do anything. next thing id do, is change the clutch.

Check for leaks. Sounds like the clutch master cylinder may have a busted seal or busted hose. After you check all the thyen try bleeding the clutch.

bleeding may not work....there is a breech in the line somewhere....find it just look around the master and slave cylinder for a leak or look to see if the metal is saturated in oil...on the slave cylinder, move the rubber boot off of it there will be a ball in a clip, squeeze that rubber boot that is right before the ball, if it is filled with oil a new slave cylinder is needed

i know this is old thread. but hope this will help others who experience the same issue. i had this same kind of problem yesterday.
firstly i thought my clutch oil is empty. stuck in the middle of the road at night, i walked to the nearby gas station to buy a bottle of dot3 oil. i refill the oil and keep pumping until the refill bottle almost empty and the clutch pedal is still stick on the floor. later get a tow truck sent to workshop. the mechanic told me that one of 2 bolts that holds the cylinder slave is gone and the cylinder assembly already bent. no idea what drove this thing happened. the oil i just filled in were flushed out from that area. he just tightened it back and get new bolt. it's not about the clutch plate, at least in my case. luckily the mechanic can help me save my money.
