Default JDM PowerBand Problems

I recently switched to a JDM V-TEC H22 in my '94 Prelude. (It originally had an H23) The motor runs really well during warm up period until it gets to operating temperature. When it has some heat and I hit 3,000 rpm in any gear from 3 up it bogs extremely bad until about 4,500 rpm. This intrigues me because it won't do this unless the clutch is engaged. When the clutch isn't engaged and it hits higher rpms it will rev through them just fine. Someone told me that the computer that I got with the front clip of my new motor might be remapped or other. Not too sure about that yet but I will try switching it with another one soon.
