I did mine and they are solid *** hell. One of the best $13 upgrades I can think of.

Did mine with polyurathane in a tube. Best $2.90 I ever spent. Firm, but no annoying vibrations that I can tell. However, after 3 years, the fill job is starting to come apart. I'll spend another $2.90 this summer when I put my second engone in

Some people just put it in and let it cure for a few days.

I recommend to do it in layers. Put tape on one side, and squeeze the thing in 1/3. Then wait a couple days, then squeeze in another 1/3, then let it cure again, then squeeze the last 1/3.... It'll be nice and stiff.

I used the polyurathane sealant from home depot.. Just cut most of the rubber away from the mount and pump it in there and smooth it out when it get to the top.. I took like a week to fully harden but works great..

I just did mine last week. I feel the difference, solid.
Just try not to get any air bubbles inside.

I've done it many times. I like to fill the whole thing at once, but I've never tried the "layered" approach. It will take at least a couple days before you want to re-install them, but wait longer if you can. (possibly up to a week?)

I've used two different kinds. At homedepot in the paint section they have "PL" polyeurathane blah blah in a black and yellow caulking tube. This **** smells so bad like chocolate it'll make you hungry. The times I've used this the mounts are stiffer, but no bad vibrations from the interior ect...

The second one that I've used is the 3M window weld. The 3M stuff seems to dry harder than the PL stuff. I've had way more vibrations and stuff using the 3M stuff, so I prefer the PL. The "performance" difference isn't clear to me, but on the vibration tip, I'm going to use the PL from here on out.

THAT IS FUNNY. Everytime I use it, it DOES SMELL LIKE CHOCOLATE. I use the PL one, not the 3M Window Weld.

I put pieces of steel i had lying around in the open spaces of the stock mounts for bracing, and then filled w/window weld. Very stiff. but my front and rear torque mounts are welded solid so i guess i can't really say how well it works

The only disadvantage is that the stiffer mounts can create more vibrations in the car. I think the 3M stuff does this more than the PL from my experience, but if we wanted to drive a lexus, we'd buy one, right?

The PL hasn't ever made crazy vibrations for me, but I can't say that it won't on any other car.

I can only find DAP stuff locally.

http://www.dap.com/default.aspx

Does anyone see a DAP product similar to Window Weld? In reading the discreptions I'm not sure if any is a comparable item.

Anyone know if you can use Window Weld on the upper driver side mount???

POLY PL FTW... Used it in multiple cars and it usually takes a few years of beating to break the stuff! Its amazing and a lot cheaper than mounts or inserts.

I have all my mounts filled on my DD and I have no complaints.. They work great and its a cheap mod to do.. the car vibrates a lot more, but i could care less as long as its fast..

and for the record, 3m window weld is what I used, but I saw some stuff at home depot not too long ago that was like $3 a tube for the exact same stuff, and I think "PL Polyurethane window, door & siding sealant" is the right stuff, if it is black.

when we were learning how to install windshields in college our instructors told us that window urethanes cure from high humidity. so if you want it to cure faster you could put them in the bathroom and leave the shower running for a while...just a thought lol.

here is a picture of a mitsubishi motor mount that was filled.

The one on the left would be like a stock honda mount, where you can see daylight through the rubber portion of the mount. they are made to flex in the stock car to help sheild against vibration in the cabin of the car. On the right, the filled mount uses 3m window weld to fill all the gaps in the mount.

It is the best $30 mod i have ever made for my EF. If you use the home depot kind and not the 3m window weld, it will probably cost less than $15.

all they are doing is taking the stock mount and filling them with poly window and door sealant, thus you get a window weld mount. just a motor mount with cocking in it. making your stock mount into a solid mount for 3 dollars
