Default Dataloging widebaond readings

I have a techedge wideband and the applicable software for dataloging that is loaded on my PALM. My question is this, it logs a/f value agains RPM value. Where does it get the rpm value from? All I know is that you plug in the power unit, and wire in the o2 sensor. Where does it get the RPM value for the datalog? If anyone wants to take allok at it, the software is availiable on the techedge website. Thanks for any and all help guys.

you have to hook Pin#6 (blue wire) on the data acquisition cable to an 12V coil ouput signal source.

find the tach signal wire on your ecu plug harness and solder a wire to that. then run that to the white data cable if you have a 1.5 where the rpm connector is. if it's a 2.0 unit it's the same thing, but there is the green connector block on the end of the unit and the rpm connector should be #4 from the right end, but it's labeled. check out http://www.wbo2.com for the scematic for your unit.

if you're using the palm software for logging make sure you are using a palm brand. i found out from trial and error that it doesn't work on a sony clie' and other brands.
