i got ticketed since my 99 civic coupe has white light bulbs for rear signal lights. i went to pepboys to pick up amber ones, but they don't have them. i don't want to go spend $$ at the dealership. has anybody had the same problem?

any automotive place carries that bulb....it is like a dollar or so.

that's what i thought, but pepboys only had light ones for the rears.

Pepboys orginization abilities are some what questionable, at least in my city. They were prob. just out of stock. Look else where.....

ehh... Autozone is the same way... I'm thinking they dont have amber turn signals.

I wen't to autozone and pepboys a couple of months ago when I got my 99 tails and after looking around for some time found someone that appeared to know a lil somthing... he told me that you're only required to have amber colored bulbs in your front signals... and that the rears came from the factory with clear bulbs. I took that and ran with it. Call honda, see what kind of bulbs they are putting in from the factory, then go to court and tell the cop to suck a dick... figuratively speaking of course.

i dont know if you could trust that dude...seems kind of sketch...but then again why would he explain to a customer something that would get him not to buy from their store?

Call the local law enforcement agency. They will tell you what colored bulbs you can have. I'd trust the guys handing out tickets long before I'd trust "some guy" at Autozone. I have seen a couple Volvo's with clear turnsignals, but I thought you could only have the clear reverse lights and either amber/red turns. Dunno?
