Default Re: HX, DX, CX, EX What Do They Mean???? (davken1102)

I'm not sure about all of them, because i think some of them changed over a generation, but I do know CX has the least amount of options (power Steering, AC, etc) and nonvtec, but also is the lightest of all of them.

DX Is the same as CX but WITH P/S, ac and some other options i believe

I'm not totally certain on this one, but the LX is a nonvtec with a LOT of options like the guy above said.

EX has pretty much any option you want and it includes the vtec sohc engine.

SI is the like "the best" of all of them, but it varys from generation.

Thats all i know for the 96-00, but i Think there is a VX in the 92-95......

CX is lower than the DX.

Weight/Trim differences between the 1992 Civic Line-Up.

My LX Sedan doesn't have Cruise.

I talked to the original owner and he said he was an option even for the LX.
