how do i change the mileage on my odometer? heh
im not doing this for a bad reason like selling my car saying it has lower mileage than it does.
im getting the jdm cluster (eg) and i wanna reset the odometer to how many my miles my car really has. and later i wanna change it to how many miles my motor has when i get it.
is it done the same for the eg cluster or any other honda cluster?
thanks

Interestingly enough, I have found a way to change my Odo's mileage. Drive the car!
Every time I drive it I get higher mileage... It's the derndest thing.
Anyone else experience this phenomenon?!

I'm assuming it's the same.... Beside the missing MPH reading, what else is different with the JDM cluster?

Someone once told me that if you mess around with the odometer, a pin breaks and your VTEC will refuse to engage. Any truth to that???

Breaking VTEC sounds fishy, I would think you could tell for sure by looking at the wiring diagram in a service manual... what *I've* heard (take w/ a grain of salt) is that rolling back an odometer will cause a silver color to show in the cracks between the numbers.

a silver color? what do u mean? where does the silver come from?
type rp, all i kow for the jdm itr cluster is that the needles are yellow, is in km/hr, and it doesnt say premium unleaded on it.
the eg cluster is white face, lights up amber, has a fuel light, and a tach w/ a redline of 8200

argh i'm not 100% sure of anything! someone correct me if i'm wrong... the vtec solenoid does use oil pressure to engage, but the signal it receives is still electronic... someone explained to me how this worked before and now i've bloody forgotten again... but i'm fairly sure it relies on your speed to know when to activate.
