I was test drivin a 94 Sel Sol Si with the d16 z6 motor and it ony got up to 95mph....is that how fast it is stock?

I got my 93 del sol si up to 122 could have gone more but i had to slow down for a turn just don't be afraid to redline every gear

I've been up to 115mph comfortably in my car, so you should be able to get there too. Be safe on the roads though.

I heard somewhere that the top of 5th on the Z6 motor goes to 125...I'm pretty sure you could get close to that speed if you wanted. I got to the top of 4th once and that was pretty high speed and if I did shift to fifth and not get scared, it wouldn't have dropped in RPM's that much...cuz 5th gear on that tranny is actually pretty short.

If you can manage to redline 4th (and that means putting it past the redline on the stock tach - it's inaccurate) then you will be at 125mph. 5th gear is not going to pull at those speeds. The speedometer is also inaccurate and it will say 130mph+.

From what i have read on various sites is that if you dissable the speed governer and are able to redline in 5th you will be going 153.4 mph

On the dyno my D16Z6 was close to 120ish at the end of 4th.

Was it still accelerating when it got to 95 mph or did it just run out of motor? If it was a car that was already modded, now it's for sale, it might have some problems like a hurt motor. If your really serious about the car then take it and have a shop do a used car inspection and compression test on it.

i got my 94 si up to 120, and my friends 93 s hit 110. you engine must be F*CKED. if the s hit's 110, and you can't hit 95, that says something. talk to ya later
